OOFOS Recovery Footwear Review - OOahh Sport Flex

Recovery footwear are shoes (usually slides or sandals) that are deliberately made to accelerate post-play recovery. They have extra thick cushioning to reduce the impact from the ground to your feet and joints. The sole also aids in recovery by distributing impact. Their design also allows your feet to breathe and enables circulation to promote recovery. Simply put, they help your feet feel better after a pounding on the court or other workouts.

As someone who finds it difficult to be comfortable in virtually any shoe or sandal, I found the OOahh Sport Flex to be a fantastic sandal with a premium design and quality. There’s plenty of great stuff to talk about, but I’ll pick the four most important things I noticed when wearing them.

First, the Elevated Bottom

Walking with these sandals helped provide stability for my feet and also supported them by insulating me from the ground. Too many cheap sandal designs out there have a flimsy sole and tread that wear easily and hardly protect you from things like the hot ground in the peak of summer. They also give you a little bit more height to work with, providing a better, elevated feeling that helps you feel more secure in each step.

Second, the perfect fit design.

The strap is easily adjustable and the sizing is accurate to most of my footwear. Too many times have I gone to another brand for shoes or sandals and received something too large or too small, or doesn’t have any room for adjustment. They fit comfortably and you can change the strap to your liking, and you won’t feel overwhelmed with the strap set to a tighter spot. The sandals feel like they’ll always stay secure to your feet and have the great traction in the sole that you’re looking for, providing a fantastic fit and great form.

Third, the Oofoam™

Too many foam sandal designs use a porous structure that makes them impractical to wash, plus they often retain an odor after prolonged use. But OOFOS’ OOfoam™ is perfect: it’s closed-cell foam, meaning that it can be put in the washing machine and will come out in one piece. It is also resistant to odors, so you can expect it to stay clean for longer than other sports sandals. And above all else, the material is remarkably comfortable to walk on and feels fantastic after a long day at work, at the gym, or out on the pickleball court. Fourth, the unique look.
