Description

Co-developed by Pickleball National Champions Matt Wright and Lucy Kovalova, the Onix Evoke Premier Pickleball Paddle brings power and precision to your game like never before. The Evoke Premier uses the new Atomic13 Edge Technology, an edge guard specifically designed to disperse shock while increasing power and swing-speed to the paddle. The DF Composite face provides a consistent minimal coating on the surface to soften the ball without losing any spin or pop off the composite face. The precision cut polypropylene core delivers incredible touch to the lightweight paddle (7.5-7.8 oz.). The Impact Paddle shape (16” x 8”) is perfect for slightly increasing your reach and maximizing your baseline power, making the Evoke Premier the most powerful and solid paddle in the ONIX Pickleball lineup.

I've been playing pickleball for over a year with a $35 paddle (Amazin' Aces "Signature") and wanted to try a $150 paddle that gave me greater spin action. I tried the Gamma Hellbender and the Onix Evoke Premier. They both gave good spin control. I felt the wider Onix gave me better net play with fewer mishits, which I think means it has a bigger "sweetspot." I liked the Hellbender's grip better. Just over 30 days with the Onix the grip material has started shifting with spaces between the wraps and the ribbon at the handle base has slid off. Hopefully Fromuth & Onix will take care of this for me. I'm not aware if this is a common problem of this paddle.
