I played with the MA Q1 the day after I bought it and two things were immediately noticeable: It IS significantly quieter - It makes a thud instead of a tonk and I’d say, conservatively, it’s half as loud and my Selkirk and easily 75% quieter than an aluminum paddle - really quite remarkable.
